Share What You’ve Learned
Help guide the next generation of True Gentlemen
Your SAE experience was shaped by those who gave their time, guidance, and belief in you. Now it’s your turn to carry that forward. There are numerous opportunities for alumni to give back by sharing their personal and professional experiences with collegian members.

Advisor
Coach and mentor officers as part of the Alumni Advisory Board. Advisors are key to a chapter’s long-term success and may have defined roles that support chapter finance, ritual, scholarship, recruitment, member education, alumni relations, or health & safety.
House Corporation
Provide leadership in maintenance, renovations, collections, food service, taxes, and other regulatory measures for chapter houses and facilities. The House Corporation board is typically composed of alumni volunteers who can assist with state, university, and local community expectations.
Event Facilitators
Sigma Alpha Epsilon’s Educational Programs are largely successful due to the individuals who volunteer their time to serve as facilitators. Alumni and friends of SAE, including campus-based professionals and other headquarters staff, are eligible to serve as facilitators.
Volunteer Ritualists
Practicing the Ritual is incredibly important to preserve the values and traditions of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. Volunteer as a Ritualist to help chapters understand and practice the ceremonies of our Ritual.
Volunteers in Action
The continued success of our Fraternity is made possible by the dedication of our alumni volunteers and donors.
Advisor Spotlight: Guided by Ritual, Bound by Brotherhood
For John Werner, Sigma Alpha Epsilon has never been simply a college memory; it is a lifelong ideal. He believes that without the Ritual, a fraternity is merely “a bunch of guys that hang out together.”
Built for Life: Brotherhood, Mentorship, and the Power of Advising
For many alumni, the question isn’t whether they care about Sigma Alpha Epsilon; it’s whether they can realistically give back amid careers, marriages, and young families. Nick Trelka’s (Cincinnati ’05) journey offers a powerful answer: advising and mentorship are not only possible at every stage of life, but they are also essential to the future of the Fraternity.
