DeVotie Ritual Institute
Want to learn more about our history and Ritual? The DeVotie Ritual Institute provides initiated, collegiate brothers, and alumni with the experience of learning about the Ritual of Sigma Alpha Epsilon and its application in both chapter and individual life. This weekend event provides attendees with knowledge of the application, history, and use of our Ritual in daily life and chapter settings. In addition, the institute gives brothers a memorable experience by using our historic headquarters at 1856 Sheridan Road as a backdrop.
True Gentlemen of the Year
The True Gentleman of the Year Award is the highest honor the Fraternity can bestow on a collegiate brother. The award, first given in 2000, is presented annually to an undergraduate who has been determined to be the most outstanding collegiate in Sigma Alpha Epsilon, considering scholastic achievement, fraternity involvement, university leadership, and community service.

Michigan Delta Chapter Returns After 15 Years
On March 21, 2026, fifteen years of anticipation culminated in a defining moment. Inside a room filled with brothers, families, and university leaders, Sigma Alpha Epsilon officially welcomed back the Michigan Delta Chapter at Western Michigan University. The chartering was not just a return. It was a revival of purpose, tradition, and brotherhood.
